Hi Sandy: I have spent the last 4 years or so working on the descendants of James Vandewater and Rachel Van Kleeck. What I have on Daniel and Emma is based on suppostion, that being that the Daniel buried in North Watertown Cemetery, NY is the Daniel that married Emma Kellar(they married in 1876 you probably made a typo). I believe the Daniels are the same as Daniel's brother James was definitely there. A lot of Vandewaters went to the Watertown area during the late 1800s, someone mentioned there was lumber trade on the Black River. The only children I show for them is Emily M. d. 1937 in Watertown, married to a Mr. Bushell and a Helen b. 1892 who died Feb. 8, 1906. Both are buried in North Watertown. I only have Emma's parents as Michael Kellar and Mary Unknown, I spoke to a gentleman who researches Kellar/Keller and he didn't know who they were. I have more on Daniel's brother James, not a lot though, with censuses being 10 years apart, if families left before then, it was hard to pick up the names of their children. If there's anything else about the vandewaters, I'd be glad to help. Willie Armstrong Whitby, ON armstrong3931@rogers.com Notify Administrator about this message?
