MOUNT STERLING - Anna Alberta Vandeventer, 88, of Mount Sterling, formerly of Versailles and Meredosia, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mount Sterling.
She was born Oct. 31, 1918, in Beardstown, the daughter of George and Lillie Belle Travis Johnson. She married Harvey Floyd in 1933; he preceded her in death. She married Eldridge E. Vandeventer in 1960 in Versailles; he died in 1985. Two daughters, Wanda and Junetta Floyd, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Vandeventer was a homemaker and cleaned private homes and worked at several restaurants. She was a member of Mount Sterling First Lutheran Church.
Survivors: daughter, Yvonne Swan of Mount Sterling; son, Thomas Floyd of Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Hendricker Funeral Home, Mount Sterling, Brother Wayne Hammitt officiating. Burial: Vandeventer Cemetery, near Versailles.
