I am researching a John & Eunice (Pound) Eggen that were neighbors of B. Vandeveer in 1820 in Warren Co., Ohio. They lived either 4 houses or 4 farms from Mr. Vandeveer. They had a son Tunis Vandever Eggen born in 1822 while they were living there. My question is, do you know if there is any kin there or was Tunis Vandeveer a prominent citizen of the area and perhaps John and Eunice thought so much of him that they named their son after him. They also had a daughter born in 1824 while they were still there and her name was Wilhelmina Dubois Eggen. I know that B. Dubois was living on the other side of B. Vandeveer at that time so maybe they were just friends.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
