John Vanderslice-Philadelphia,PA-1800's

My Great Grandmother was Catherine MINTZER and she was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was married to John FOULKS. They lived in Burlington County,
New Jersey after they were married. Her parents were David MINTZER and Margaret VANDERSLICE who lived in Philadelphia,

In the 1850 Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania Federal Census it lists in Kensington:

David MINTZER 31 M
Matilda " 27 F
Mary " 7 F
John " 4 M
Matilda " 2 F

I am guessing that John VANDERSLICE is
Margaret VANDERSLICE's Father.

I take it from this Census that:

John VANDERSLICE was born in 1801 PA
[If this is Margaret's father then he would
be my Great Great Great Grandfather]

Margaret VANDERSLICE MINTZER (listed as
Matilda??) was born in 1823 PA
[My Great Great Grandmother]

David MINTZER was born in 1819.

In the 1860 Federal Census for Philadelphia
County, PA:

David MINTZER 41 M
(My Great Great Grandfather)
Matilda " 36 F
Mary " 18 F
John " 14 M
Matilda " 11 F
Catherine " 6 F (My Great Grandmother)

Does any of this family look familiar to
someone out there?

There is not a MINTZER Message Board on

I live in Tennessee so am researching from
