Benjamin is my gggggrand-father and was buried in Perry County, Alabama, but no one seems to know where. Possibly on the home place which encompassed over 3500+ acres in what is now South Perry County And North West Dallas County Alabama. Some of the Vanderslices are buried at Ocmulgee Creek Baptist Church, and some at Pine Flat Baptist Church, both in Perry County. Benjamin was awarded this land because he fought in the last Indian battle East of the Mississippi River. He and his wife and family moved there from Kent. It is rumored that after his death, one of his sons never married, was some sort of a rogue, drinking, etc and went to Marion the county seat of Perry County, borrowed money on whole property, and never paid it back, therefore it was lost to a family that had it until about 10-15 years ago whaen they sold it. My e-mail is if you would like to share any info. Thanks John Suther
