I just went to the Pierson Twp Cemetery yesterday and located the graves of Margaret's family and her brother and nephew. The Dennis men are buried in three unmarked graves. The records show three males, Charles, David and "Mr" Dennis. (That's how he's recorded.) There is no record of Margaret there. Next to this plot is the grave of John D. Vanderhoof, son of JD and L. (Lovinia) Vanderhoof and John D. Vanderhoof. Also, there is no record of John's wife buried there. I plan to go to the county seat and look to see if either of these women remarried. John Jr.'s stone is worn and it's hard to tell if he's 6 or 8. I'm sure the documents will tell. Then John Sr's stone is fallen over and broken. I plan to go back with a small shovel and remove the sod that's grown over it and hope to clean it up a bit.
