Hi Terry, I hope you still check Genforum. I found this today regarding David Vanderhoof and his first wife Barbara.
David and Barbara must have divorced in New York about 1841/1842. Barbara is on 1850 Webster, Monroe county NY Census with the four children, Ann, William, Mary and Herman.
