I am shocked and pleasantly suprised to see so many people related to and interested in the Vanderhoof name. My maiden name is Vanerhoof and I actually thought there were only a couple of us around. Why I should be I don't know? My great great grandparents were both Vanderhoofs when they married and each had several siblings. They were John R. Vanderhoof and Mary K Vanderhoof. Together they had 7 children, 4 of which lived to adulthood. Does anyone know them? The surviving children were; Mary E Vanderhoof, dob 6/09/1865;Annie Vanderhoof dob 09/18/1873; John Vanderhoof Jr.,dob 08/08/1877;Margaret Vanderhoof dob 09/27/1881. My sister has done some research into this but it becomes more important to me every day as my father died 15 yrs. ago, and he alas had only daughters.
