Cornelius Vanderhoof born 1824 or 1826. He married Susan Osborn. Their children: Sarah Jane, Ira, Emma, Phoebe (my great grandmother) Wm, Ellen & George... Cornelius was buried in the Adams Corner Cemetery in Wabash County Illionis. His father was also Cornelius married to ?. Their children" Cornelius,Louis, Harvey, Anna & Caroline. I also found a marriage license in Richland County Illinois: Cornelius Vanderhuf married Mrs. Josephine Leist 07/06/79 listing Cornelius parents as Philip Banderhuf & Jerushey Morrison. Would appreciate any & all info anyone has as this is my "brick wall". Also found records where Philip was in the Blackhawk war - Company: J Arnold - Wabash county, Illinois. In the "History of Edwards, Lawrence & Wabash Counties, Illinois" it states on page 294 that Philip & Cornelius were both in the Blackhawk War but, I found no service record for Cornelius. I'm thinking that they were brothers? I found Philip in the 1830 Knox County, Indiana census. Also found that the Vanderhoofs were in a town called Hazelton, Indiana in 1816 & 1817. I have checked the cemetery there but found no Vanderhoofs.
