Godfrey Brandow according to the 1974 Overbagh genealogy was born "Occt 30, 1719, Athens, NY" but I have not been able to verify that. The genealogy also says he d. June 10, 1789, but since that is the date of his will I am not convinced. Over twenty years ago I examined his will in the Albany Surrogate's Court but I did not take a copy. My notes say:
Godfrey Brando, Coxsackie, yeoman, will dated June 10, 1789; will proved May 16, 1792.
mentions (1) wife Catharine
(2)son Peter
(3) four grandsons Hendrick, Peter, Wilhelmus, John Brandow, sons of son Johannis deceasedd and daughter-in-law Catherine
(4) four grand-daughters, daughters of son Johannis
(5) daughter Maria
(6) daughter Hannah
(7) children of daughter Catherine
