Vancil Family in Arkansas

I am interested in knowing more about the John VANCIL family who moved from Illinois to Hempstead, Nevada, Arkansas. I have read that John VANCIL married Lydia DONNER in Illinois; however the marriage record is elusive. The History of the Early Settlers of Sangamon County, Ill. states Lydia DONNER was married to John VANCIL. I have a record from Illinois State Archives showing an indenture dated 5 November 1849 between John VANSIL and Lydia VANSIL his wife of the county of Henderson, Illinois. They are selling Lydia's share of George DONNER's land to Lydia's brother William DONNER for $50.00. Lydia was the daughter of Captain George DONNER of Donner Party Fame.

A New Colonial Family History by Evelyn Lowdermilk Ball tells of the John VANCIL family coming to Hempstead, Nevada, Arkansas but unfortunately, Mrs. Ball gives no dates. From the content I believe they were elderly and their 11 children were apparently grown. At least one of their daughters was in Hempstead and that was Susan Tamsen VANCIL who had married Isaac MOORE.

In hopes someone else is interested in this family.
