Hi Jamie, Well I have been told that my great grandfather's name was Homer Lewis but I keep finding in the records that it's Lewis Homer. Everyone has called him Homer. Anyway, the closest males to me are my dad, uncle Jimmy and my brother. I really doubt that my dad and uncle will do this but I might be able to blackmale my brother into this. The Vance's never talked about ancestors. I did talk to my Aunt Eleanor which is my grandfather's sister before she died but all she could remember about her grandfather was that people called him Charley or Charles and she thought her grandmother was a Tanner. I don't know it there is any paper trails considering the are all gone now. I reckon I could start asking my Aunts and Uncles, but if I know them they probably don't know much. How would I go about doing the DNA test on my brother? And where would I send it to be done. Something is better than what I have now. I do know for sure is that my Vance's came from Spencer, and Ravenswood, West Virginia and later moved to Wellington and Akron Ohio. I also know that we are related to the Love Family, but not sure how. I will start asking around and then let ya know. Thank you for all your help with this. You can email me at bunkie@embarqmail.com that way we can stay in touch. Thank you again. You are a blessing. Tracy
