William Henry Vance married
Drucilla Jane Greasonor Woodward
(she was Greason on her marriage bond, but Thomas Woodward signed for her and the familyBible listsher as Woodward)
William was born October 18,1855 in Washington Co,Ark. His parents were Martin Van Buren Vance & Jane Ellen Bell
Drucilla was born July 5,1861 .Most information gives Arkansas as birth place, but a census record gives Illinois. Her mother was Ceneda Jane Greason .Jane Greason is listed living with an Alfred & Elizabeth Pollard family on
1850 Johnson Co Ark census & with Elizabeth Pollard family on 1860 census.Speculation is that Alfred may have been a step father to Ceneda Jane.
Ceneda Jane Greason marries Kelsey Callahan in 1867 in Ark. -Drucilla Jane is then
4 years old.
The mystery is where does the Woodward name come in for Drucilla Jane Greason Vance ?
The family never, ever knew Drucilla as a Callahan & only my research turned upCeneda Jane marrying Kelsey Callahan, but we never knew anything about Jane Ceneda ,Drucilla's mother .
The children born to William Henry Vance & Ducilla Jane Greason (or Woodward ?)

William Henry then married

they had two daughters
Lottie Mae b.1922
Rosielea b. 1924
William Henry died may 23.1934 TX
Jane Ceneda or Ceneda Jane
Drucilla Jane (Siler or Cillar)
are quite a mystery I am trying to unravel
A Pollard researcher believes that Elizabeth Pollard was probably Elizabeth Greason before marrying a Pollard. She could possibly have had Drucilla outside marriage is one
possibility.Who the Thomas J. Woodward that
signed the marriage bond with Jane's consent
isanother question .Why did the Vance family consider Drucilla a Woodward ?
This will either be of help or add to confusion .Maybe there is a Callahan or Pollard descendant with some answers ?
