Looking for information of Guisbert or Gilbert VANCAMP or VANCAMPEN, died March 26, 1792. Lived in and around Kingwood or Alexandria, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. I have a deed from 1796 listing the following in the estate of Guisbert, dec'd: Ambrose SMITH and his wife Catherine; Frederich SMITH and his wife Leah (MY LINE); Aaron COLEMAN and his wife Sarah; John CORSON and his wife Mary; Jacob VANCAMPEN; and Abraham VANCAMPEN all now (1796) of the township Amwell; and.., Isaac VANCAMPEN; and John VANCAMPEN both of Alexandria. All of the above are named as children of the deceased. This deed lists another Gilbert as the father of the deceased. This deed also appears to list that Guisbert (Jr.) was married to a "Tetja." I have admistrative papers listing the name as "Teetia" and "Tetia." By the way, I found a Rev. Frasier marrying a Gilbert Vancampen and a Charity THATCHER in 1780. Is "teetia" a nickname for "charity?" Notify Administrator about this message?
