I am interested in the genealogy of your Samuel. Who were his parents? I think that he was an uncle to my Samuel Vancamp who lived in Sanilac County and was married to Jane Nobles. Our Samuels were either cousins or uncle and nephew. My Samuel's parents were Jacob Vancamp and Mary Burke who were from Darlington Twp, Durham County, Ontario. My Samuel's siblings were James, Joseph, Ezra, Richard, Levious, Jesse, Mary (Jared Tyler), Clarissa (Lewis Way), Matilda (Nathaniel Vannest, and Elizabeth Jane ( Hulver Hulverson), Jesse, Matilda and Clarissa came to Sanilac County in 1847 and all the others except Richard came later. Some of them later moved to Antrim County in Michigan when land became available at a good price.
