I have a Metellis Buskirk b. 1831 son of John Littel and
Elizabeth 'Betsy" (Young) Buskirk both of Kentucky emmigrated to Crawford Co. Ill.
John Littel is son of John B. Vallier and Mary (Littel)
Buskirk
John B. Vallier dropped the VAN. His parents were Michael (1720) and Maria (Van Deventer) Van Buskirk.
I would guess Metellis (census spelling) and Mettelos are one and the same. I did not have children of this marriage, but did have Rachel Scarlett in my notes from LDS site, had not checked further. Thanks for posting!
