I believe my great great grandfather was the s/o James Van Alstyne born June 21, 1776 or 1777 and Rebecca Forshee. My father thought his name was Bernard Forshee Van Alstyne born 1816 and his wife's name Eliza. My great grandfather was named David Lambert born 1849 and his wife Elizabeth Parsons born 1853.They may have lived in Michigan. They had seven children including my grandfather, Asa Goodman Van Alstyne of Sarnia Ontario. Can anyone help me with this one?
