Your info is close to my relatives the Van Alstines, with an I.. I have a James (born 1824) and a Sarah (maiden ?) who had a number of children, including Sheldon, Arnold, William, Cora, Emma and another William. Sheldon is my great gf. Sheldon (b 1868) married Georgia Scott (in Fayetteville), and they had my grandfather Irving. They all lived for quite awhile in Fayetteville and area, Onondaga County. Then some moved to the Ilion, Herkimer Cty area (my hometown).
