My family on my dad's side is from New Mexico. My grandfather was named Peter (Pedro?) Valverde and he married Isabel Diaz Rosas. His parents were Sofia Apodaca and Matilde Valverde (I think he was a sheriff in a small town in NM)
I know my grandma was from Hurley, NM and I think she said my grandfather was from Deming, NM... Unfortunately the only other Valverde I know is my dad's cousin Nancy Valverde. I currently live in Arizona. My dad was born and died in California. I don't know if Nancy is still alive, but she lived in California the last time i saw her.
I do know that my grandma said i had family in Albequerque, but again i don't know them. Post to this message if any of these names mean anything to you.
