I am taking a guess on this. My grandmother's middle name was VALVERDE. I have wondered where that name came from and she was always called Verdie. She was born 1890 in Texas. Her father was William F. Hale and her mother was Reed Sheffield. I cannot find the name Valverdie on her mothers side of family but I have no info on William F. Hale and am wondering if that was a surname on his side of family.
Just hoping some other VALVERDIE out there might run across these names.
They also lived in Wood County, Trinity county, Orange County and Montague County Texas.
