Hello,
My grandfather Oliva Valliere was born in Fitchburg, MA on Oct 24, 1899. His parents were Frederic and Amanda Roy, married in Fitchburg on Apr 24, 1895. Both parents came from St. Anselme, Dorchester, Quebec.
I would like to find out when Frederic's parents and sibblings emigrated to the States. Must have been in the late 1880s or early 1890s.
Frederics parents were:
Louis Valliere & Louise Allen.

Amanda roy's parents were also from St. Anselme and came to Fitchburg somewhere after 1886.
They were:
Simeon Roy & Clarisse Marceau.

The two families must have known each other and maybe the came from St. Anselme together. Maybe they just met in Fitchburg.

Thing is: I can't find anything more on Louis Valliere or his parents and grandparents here in Quebec.

All I have is:
Louis's parents:
Antoine Valliere & Marie or Marie Anne Paradis (m. Jan 31, 1826 in St. Henri, Lauzon.

Antoine's parents:
Louis Valliere & Marie Agnes or Marie Anne or Marie Cauchon Laverdiere (m. Feb 9, 1801 in St. Henri, Lauzon (or Levis - it's the same thing).

Any data on this last Louis, his son Antoine, family and descendants, and especially those who migrated to the States would be appreciated.

My Great-grandfather Frederic Valliere came back to Quebec somewhere between 1803 and 1806, when he bought a farm house in St. Etienne, Lauzon.

Thanks for any info.

Michelle
