Hi Derek Lee, I have only three Delia VALLIERE's in my file, one b: 1862 in [Douglas] Massachusetts, one b: abt 1873 in New York, and one b: abt 1866 in Canada[sibs born in New Hampshire! I hav none with VALERY, VALIER[E][ES], or VALLIER[S] spellings. I have found no VALERY variation spelling, except Paul BURKE's] or any connection in Louisiana but am always looking! I had an Uncle and many cousins with Indian features and the Uncle was discribed by an expert as having almost perfect Mohawk Indian features and body contours! He looked for more than 50 years for the connection and I have looked for more than 30 years without results. The assumption he reached was that there were MANY dark skinned babies born in the mid 1800's after the English allowed the Indians free rain to raid the French farmers that failed or refused to serve in the military. The men hid in the US working in the woods and mills leaving the women and children to run the family farms. We have a Great Grandmother with strong Indian features! If you can find maiden names and marriage dates for your Delia or other relitives I would like the opertunity to try to connect the families. LeRoy,
