Mary [Marie] Vallery

Hello again...

My great grandmother was Mary Vallery who reportedly was Metis (French/Algonkin, possibly MicMac?) and ran a small Metis fashion business (hats and hat feathers) in NYC in the late 1800's. I am researching and it is likely her parents emigrated to the States and Anglicanized their names from Marie Valliere (Vallier, etc). My son has some classic Indian features so I have no choice but to pursue--thank you!

Best wishes,

Paul (Vallery) Burke
