Hugh Valliant was my ggrandfather. I have lots of information on him, including a picture of him and his wife, Susan Francis Steele. Both he and his wife are buried in Oak Hill Cem, Butler MO. He was Civil War vet of 4th IA Cavalry. I have his pistol, knife, and powderhorn in a display case. I have some info on Sanders McComas, and I think you are interested in that particular line. I have pictures of Sanders, wife Elitha Ellen Valliant, and their children. I have both Sander's and Elitha's obits. They are both buried in El Reno OK. I probably have pictures of their tombstones. The reason (as told to me by my grandmother) that they moved to Crocker MO in 1915 was because of Hugh Valliant. He constantly moved after the war; I've got a long list of all the places he lived. At age 75, he decided to move back to MO from KS, and Elitha Ellen couldn't let him and Susan go by themselves, so they went with them. Hugh died 6 months later in 1916 in Crocker MO. Sanders and Elitha, along with Susan, were still there in 1920, then moved to El Reno to be with other family members, as you said. When Susan died in 1940 in El Reno, she was transported to Butler to be buried with Hugh. I have pictures of their tombstone. The reason they were buried in Butler was because Susan Francis Steele's family are mostly buried in Butler.
