Thank you so much for the information. We have purchased a historic home on the Bayou Teche in St Landry Parish Louisiana. The land was first owned by Louis Villars. We are trying to trace the History of the land and the people that lived on it. One of the building on the property was built in the 1700's. We think it was built by Louis. We arenow on the national register of historic homes. I have started researching the legal papers at the courthouse. Please stay in touch. Thank you again for your help.
