Gaetane,
I do not know you, but in brousing the Valle forum I discovered a message written in regard to Charles Valle. Perhaps the Charles Valle b. 1796 in St. Genevieve, Mo. U.S.A.

I have a request I hope you will be able to help me with. I live in Kentucky and it is impossible for me to find this info.

Should you have access to information from the LOISELLE CARD INDEX to

MANY MARRIAGES of the PROVINCE of QUEBEC and ADJACENT AREAS.

Arthor: compiled by Antonin Loiselle

Publication Information.
Salt Lake City: Filmed by the Genealogical Sociaty of Utah. 1972

Notes:
Microfilm of original at Convent of Dominicans, Montreal.

Contents:
Alphabetical order of cards, often only kapproximate. Parishes covered are listed at beginning of each film.

film # 0543846
Levart, Augustin, to Lessard, Aurelie

Film # 0543847
Linteau, Celina, to Levart Benjamin

My reasons for requesting this of you.
My gg-grandfather, _____Levart,or my g-grandfather Levart, we know nothing about.
It is beleived that our first Levart, my gg-grandfather did immigrate from France, when, we do not know.

However, within an old family bible is written the name Serena Levart. The name Celina has a phonic sounding so near the phonic sound of Serena I beleive the name Celina could have been misunderstood and written as Serena.

We beleive, from the death certificates of his children, my g-grandfathers name was David Munsie Levart. (or however Munsie could be spelled.)

We beleive my gg-grandfather (?) Levart immigrated from France.
My g-grandfather (?)Levart's first child, Nancy Elizabeth, was born in 1871.

His second child a son was named William Thomas Levart.

The third child, my grandfather Thomas Warren Levart was born April 1878. And his fourth child, David L. Levart was b. Aug. 1879

At the time of the 1880 census, the four children were orphaned and in varied foster homes within Wayne Co. Mo. which is in the southeastern part of Mo. directly south of St. Louis.

Allowing 25 years at the birth of a man's first child, my g-grandfather's first child was born in 1871, this would make him born around 1840 to 45. His father, my gg-grandfather would have been around 25 at his birth, making his birthdate around 1815 to 1820.

If Benjamine Levart age is in that particular time span and with wife named
Celina, I find this very close to solving my problem of just "Who was my gg-grandfather".
It would be nice to correspond.

Thank you.

Evelyn
