They were my wife's ancestors. We still have a few relics including a letter written from Hugh to Ann(ie) from the 42nd Regiment (Black Watch) in the lines in front of Bayonne in early 1814. Hugh died in France in March 1814 and Ann died in Dunfermline in 1863 (born there in 1785). Family records say Hugh was born in 1779 and there is an IGI record from Coylton, Ayr in that year which I have not checked.
