I am a Valerio with Ancestry from Binmaley, Pangasinan in the Philippines - our ancestor was Pio Valerio, and he may have been an Italian from the Sicily area, rather than a Spaniard, I am told, because the Spaniards, during colonialization of the Philippine islands, used Italian navigators on their journeys to the islands during their 350+ years of occupation in the Philippines.
