Valenzuela Family Genealogy Forum

Just read your posting(s) and am wondering if you are related to any Valenzuela's from Opodepe, Sonora, Mexico or surrounding pueblos. My g-g-grandmother's name was Ana Joaquina Valenzuela (or Balensuela) Y Fernandez(s) and I don't know her parents names - she had no living siblings. She married Dr. Antonio Suarez (Soares, Suares, Suares) Montero who was born in Taos New Mexico in 1845. Think she may have been born between 1840 - 1845. I have information on my g-g-grandfather, when they married, times she was in New Mexico and when she and my grandfather returned to Opodepe, but nothing else. Would really like to know her parents names in order to continue research on her! The only other thing I know is that ANa Joaquina might have had "Fernandez" family in Meresichi and/or El Rodeo. I also know she had cousins or nephews by the name of Ernesto Valenzuela and Miguel Valenzuela who were brothers. I think Ernesto eventually worked in Merced, California and might have family there; and, Miguel might have done some time in San Quentin, back in the 40's or 50's. Ana Joaquina died sometime in the early 1920's while in Southern California and was buried somewhere in San Fernando Valley (don't believe the cemetary exists). By the way, I also have family in Imperial Valley (Brawley) from my father's side! Appreciate any help/input you can give regarding Ana Joaquina!
