Kevin: I printed out the lineage that you sent. I will need to look it over. It was rather lengthy.
To answer your question: Obadiah Valentine (2) was born 1661 in West Hills Huntington LI and married Mary in 1688. They both had 12 children. The first child, Thomas Valentine (3)b. 1695 in West Hills LI married Sarah Dean. Thomas and Sarah had 2 children. Thomas Valentine (4) was b. 1718 in West Hills and married Elizabeth Hewlett. They had 10 children. You questioned Absalom who married Susan Bumpstead. This was their 9th child.
I do not have any information from there due to my husband's family went off with Jeremiah Valentine (4) who was Thomas and Elizabeth's other child.
I do have birth, death, marriages, address and some bits of information on these people if you feel they may be your lineage.
My husband's aunt was a historian on Long Island and did her family, both her father and mother's lineages. Going back to when they came in the 1600's. Most interesting!
