Robert,
May have given you some of this before but in case not let'stry again. Sarah Alvina Penn Valentine & Levi Marion Valentine are both buried in the Sheppard Cemetery in Union, Iowa. It is on 300th St. Buried with them are Daisy Lillian who died 22 April 1880 at age 2 yrs., 10 mos. and 12 days. She was their 6th child. Also William H. H. Valentine
who was born 31 July 1879 and died in 1963,their 7th child. Also your grandfather, Ralph Marion who was born 17 October 1882 and died in 1934. He was the 8th child. Also their 3rd child, Norah Ann, 31 January 1871 to 1963, who is listed on her gravestone as "Nora J. Clark". Perhaps you can explain that one to me. A marriage and divorce perhaps? Buried in a line with Nora, Will and Ralph is Lyle D. Valentine, 1921 to 1981, who was a Pfc in W.W. II. Whose child was he?
Also inSheppard Cemetery is George W. Mitchell, 1839 - 1931, who first apppears with the Valentine's when the 1850 census picked him up in Rock Island Co., Ill. living with Lucinda Peckinpaugh Sayre and Alonzo Canada Sayre, son of John Sayre & Jane Valentine Sayre. He later married Lurena Adeline, duahgter of Wm. & Margaret C. Valentine. What more do you have on thisindividual?
Best wishes, Don
