RE: William Vale, Melbourne, Victoria.
My researches centre on William Mountford Kinsey Vale. He is fairly well documented - see, for example, The Australian Dictionary of Biography, vol 6, pages 324-5.
However, I have to trace his travels to and from England and Victoria, Australia, and his early career in the colony. He arrived in Port Phillip Bay on the Blackheath in 1853.
There were several other William Vales in Victoria, and I am trying to sort them out. One of them, like WMKV, was a bookseller - or was it the same William Vale? He began selling in Melbourne in March, 1853.
I am also interested if obtaining birth details of WMKV's father, John, who was born in or near Bromyard, Herefordshire.
