I am trying to find a family line. The person in question is Jessie Vale Harris, daughter of Benjamin Coleman Harris (1847-1929) and Elvarena Hastings. Benjamin's family was from North Carolina (I would guess near or in Rockingham County, because his parents married in Mecklenburg). Benjamin and Elvarena named all their eight children for family surnames or first names. Does anyone know how the Vale in Jessie's name fits in? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
