VAIR: Turin, Italy
I am a descendant of the Vairs from Chiannoco, Italy near Turin. There are many Vairs still there. My daughter visited there in 2003, but was unable to learn more about our lineage due to language difficulties. Chiannoco is a rather remote village, 5 miles from the nearest railroad station. My daughter hiked the 5 miles there and 5 miles back just to be able to visit the village where her grandfather was born and raised.
