Carol,I found the one from Norfolk, but that's not him. It's the second one (John Henry)because they lived around the Damascus Va. area....more info...Nora had at least five brothers and sisters. I live in the north Georgia area,and in Chattanooga Tenn. there is an old mission ( Brainerd Mission). In the mission cemetery there is a Mary Vail and her father(John Vail Sr.) buried there.She died in 1831 and he died in 1871. It was established by the American Board of Commissioners of Foreign Missions and they were from the New England states and the spelling on their stones is Vail.Somewhere I remember reading that they were from New Jersey. I spelled it wrong, it is McCall.
