Greetings Cousins,

I have Catherine Mozley listed as marrying William Henry Vaden, the son of Joseph Vaden and Elizabeth ?. Joseph was the son Henry Vaden, II and Martha Fowler.

I got the info on William Henry and Catherine from three different cousins. I don't know if they traded this information with each other or came to this conclusion on their own. Anyway....

To add a little more confusion to this, Joseph and William, Sr. were brothers making William Henry Vaden and William Vaden, Jr first cousins.

Does anyone have any proof one way or the other on who Catherine Mozley's husband was?

There is also speculation that William Henry was married to Martha A. ?. Martha was almost 20 years younger that Catherine (if my data is correct). I have Catherine birthing Sarah Vaden in 1801 (she married Archibald Moseley) and Martha birthing Amos Garrett Vaden in 1825.

One more wrench to through into this puzzle. I suppose it is possible that Martha A. ? was married to William Henry Vaden the son of Burwell Vaden and Sarah Wilson. Burwell was the son of Henry Vaden and Martha Fowler. Another brother of Joseph and William, Sr. So now William Henry, William Henry and William, Jr. are all first cousins. (This would sure have been a lot easier if our ancestors had not keep using the same names over and over and ....).

Does anyone have a solid marriage date for William, Jr. and Hannah Johns. I have about 1806. I have Catherine Vaden's birth as 1789. So either the marriage date is wrong or William, Jr. had another wife before Hannah.

Well its late and I am either tired, confused, or both. I will be very interested to see what kind of feed back I get from this. :o)
