William Bibby came to Accomack Co., VA in 1620. In 1636 he transported six individuals including Christopher Calvert to
Accomack Co.
Descendants of William Bibby moved to the mainland of VA. They also seem to have lived among several Calvert families which may or not have been descendants of Christopher Calvert.
The Bibby's lived in York, Chesterfield, and Louisa counties. While in Louisa county, they bought goods from William Calvert and Thomas Pleasants (grandson of William Pleasants of Henrico Co). They also did business with the Timberlake family.
The Bibby's, Timberlake, and Calvert's aka Colvard aka Colbert families ended up in Franklin Co., NC in the mid- to late-1700's. The Bibby and Colbert families still live in Franklin Co.
