I would like to ask a question of someone who lives in the area and might know the answer!
I have visited the Historic Triangle area many times as my mom has lived in Williamsburg for the last 2 years. I have driven up and down the Colonial Parkway any times. On my next visit I would like to visit the plantation sites and graveyards of the Ringfield and Bellfield plantations. I have seen the pathways to them, but there was always a gate up to restrict driving. I was going to get someone to drop me off and walk to the sites, but if they are on Naval land-well, I don't want to get in trouble!
So I am asking if anyone knows if it is alright to hike to these graveyards/plantation sites??
I am putting together a website of the cemeteries and graveyards of the Historic Triangle, and have been anxious to add these 2 to my photo collection!
Thanks for any info!!
