I updated my webpage:
A great effort is being made to compile as many records as can be found, from various sources for the State Library, and thus we will find more records available for reference and research as time goes by. The record further states that New Poquason Church was in York County in 1636, that the church lay between the "Back River" and the present Poquason River in the lower part of York County, and that on December 11, 1692, the name was changed to Charles River and Charles Church and Charles Parish. So to as to recap(I have been more interested in proving my sources rather than following a chronological line of events); We have the original Captain John Huddleston born 1585 in Ratcliffe, England that sails to Virgina and settles in Poquoson, Virginia. This John Huddleston dies in about 1625 but has a son, also a Captain John Huddleston who was born also of England born in 1609. John Huddleston II, the son, dies in Henrico County, Virginia in 1640. Next, his son John Huddleston III, of Henrico County, Virginia is born in 1635 and dies in 1691 of the same place. Then, his son, Thomas Huddleston is born in 1649 of the same place and dies in the same place in 1726. His son, Thomas Huddleston II, is born in 1675 of the same place and dies in the same place in 1748. He has two sons, the eldest being Robert Huddleston born of the same place of Henrico County, Virginia and later settles in Saint George's Parish, Spotsylvania County, Virginia; and John Huddleston born in Henrico County, Virginia in 1709 and is shown as still being alive in Spotsylvania County on November 4, 1746.
