Thank You so very much for your kindness. The Reuben C. Baily you stated as being in the Civil War on the Confederate Side, is the wrong Reuben. All of my ancestors if they fought in the Civil War, did it on the North. None lived in Virginia. What I hoped to find out was a death certificate or anything from a primary or at least a secondary source. Maybe even a burial spot. You touch base on the 1850 & 1860 Fed Census. He is in the 1870 Fed Census in Black Lick, Wythe, VA. So what i am trying to determine with some certainty is a birth date connecting Asher Mercer Bailey b 6 Feb 1846 in Uniontown,Fayette, PA & d. sometime aft 1910 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA the 1820 census had no adult male, 1 female 26-40. The 1830 has 1 male 30-49 & the 1849 Fed Census West Marlborough, Chester, PA 1 male 40 t0 50. The 1850 the Fed Census, Brownsville,Fayette,PA has Reuben 37yrs and wife Mary 31yrs. The 1860 Fed Census in Wytheville, Wythe, VA has Reuben 46yrs and wife Mary 34 yrs. the 1870 Fed Census in Black Lick, Wythe, VA has Reuben 56yrs and wife Mary is not mentioned, so may of died. Do you have access to birth and death information. Again I can't thank you enough. Emmy Mayne
