Hi; I've been on your Wise Co. site several times but cannot find some info that I need. My Dad and Mother both were born in Wise Co. Dad (Jessie James Davis) was born Oct. 19,1908 to Rosa E Hill Davis and John Henry Davis. I was told as a small girl that dad's dad was Dr. Jess Davis I cannot find anything at all to help me. My mom (Bessie Victoria McClain)was born July 29, 1906 to Julia Ann Huff McClain and John T. McClain. John was killed in a sawmill accident when mom was only three mo. old. This family has been traced back several generations, my problem is! Mom interduced me to a woman that she referred to as her identical twin cousin. Could another family member have raised her as their own? Could this woman acually be moms twin? I know there is a lot of twins in that family. On dad's side, his dad died when he was very young my grandmother remarried andthat side of the family was lost.My grandmother was the daughter of Mary L. Wells Hill and Sanders Henry Hill. Mary's parents was Eli and Elizabeth Wells. That's a dead end. Sanders parents was Sanders Hill Sr. and Elizabeth Vanover. Sander Sr. parents was William and Nancy ??? Hill. Elizabeth's parents was Bethany ???? and Henry Vanover. If you can help with any of these families I would greatly appreciate it
