Need lookup for James Brown
Posted by: Wanda Eaton (ID *****0087) Date: March 03, 2009 at 17:58:25

James Brown moved to Wise County Virginia sometime between 1863 and 1870. He died in 1879. His first wife Polly died in 1869. He married for a second time and his wife Mary Brown died around 1890 so his property was probably sold at that time.

His sister was the mother of Morgan Tennessee Lipps and her name was Rhoda Brown. He lived in the LIPPS district and owned a grist mill. His daughter Susannah Cole and her husband Benjamin Cole lived with him in 1870 because he had not yet remarried and was listed as a widower.

I need someone to look up the deeds he may have had and make me copies between 1863 and 1890. If you can do a lookup let me know how much it would cost to help me out. I live in Blountville and it is quite a drive to come that far.

Thanks.
