No, sad to say I only have "The History of the Pound"
edited by Rhonda Robertson and Nancy Clark Brown. Published by The Historical Society of the Pound. That is Pound, Virginia where my mother was born.
However, even though I have not found a true record of the marriage or where it happened, I do know the date.
The new news is I have also located records straight from Italy on the true name of my grandfather, along with his birth certificate, his mothers, his fathers, and his brothers. Right now I am working on more records of his ancestors.
You see, the books were wrong! Most were from word of mouth not actual records. Now I have those records and they are on for the public to view. I still have to upload the son's but my great grand parents are there.
That was my goal, to find out what the truth was about my grandfather and his life. I have done that. His real name in Italy was not Joseph Allio (his American name), but Giuseppe Aiello.
My great grand parents were not Pindle and Elizabeth, they were Rosa Maria Ozimo and Pantaleone Domenico Aiello.
So unless these stories are rewritten the truth cannot be found there. The only actual record not found on paper or listed online so far is the marriage record.
But I thank you so much for writing to me and trying to help me. All help is greatly appreciated.
