John Rochester and Ann Jordan are my fourth-great grandparents. According to the Rochester Family History, his father was a John Rochester also(1708-Nov 1754, Westmoreland Co.) His mother was Hester (Esther)Thrift (Sep 6, 1726, Richmond Co, VA-1773, Westmoreland Co). Married June 9, 1740. I can go back 5 more generations of Rochesters if you like, to George Rochester, born in 1585 in Newcastle upon the Tyne, England. Ann Jordan's father was a Robert Jordan. I know nothing else about him. I have the same dates for Ann as you. They were married in 1766, also in Westmoreland Co VA. She had 11 children. My line runs through a daughter, Hannah Thrift Rochester who married John Brown in Mercer Co. KY in 1814.
