I am researching my wife's family line.
John McGuire, born abt.1785, married Mary Pillsbury (dau. of John Pillsbury & Sally Scott) on 3 Feb 1809 in Westmoreland Co, VA. They lived in Copple Parish.
Children (These are all believed to be siblings, but possibly they are not):
Martha (Patty) McGuire, b. abt 1810, m. John Alderson
Henry McGuire, b. abt 1812
Ann McGuire, b. abt 1813
John McGuire, b. 30 Jun 1814, d. Apr 1850; m. Malinda Thompson
Jesse McGuire, b. abt 1813
Lamkin H. McGuire, b. abt 1816, m. Charlotte ?
Mary McGuire, b. abt 1820; m. Thomas Clark
Hiram McGuire, b. abt 1822
Travis McGuire, b. abt 1825
John McGuire the father is believed to have been born in Virginia, and to have the following siblings:
Vincent McGuire, b. abt 1771
Travis McGuire, b. abt 1780
William McGuire, b. abt 1787
This family has been very difficult to trace. Any information that might help flesh out the family, or any clues where I might obtain information on the family that is available on the Internet would be appreciated.
