My husband is probably descended from William "Basely". I wondered how the two men came to be buying a large tract of land together and when they sold it.
The grant says it is for the transportation of twenty persons. William was transported himself in 1658 by Henry Roach, a shipwright. The grant is referred to in several later deeds/grants with various spellings of the mens' names.
I don't need a ton of information on Edward, just a short biography or even the sale date of the property.
