Have been researching Joseph of WM Co. VA and today learned that he was married to a Sarah Blagdon and may have had a daughter Sarah and a son William both of which are mentioned in his will as his eldest chn. I also believe from a gift by Nathaniel Pope to his grandchildren Jane and Benjamin Weekes, that Joseph married Mary Pope, the dau. of Nathaniel Pope after Sarah. His wife at his death in 1717 was Mary which seems to back up this theory.

Do you know if Joseph had any brothers?
