I appreciate the fact that you took the time to pass on this very interesting information about what seems to be the earliest Virginian patriarch of our RICE line. After reading your post (and printing it out) there indeed seems to be evidence of at least one John RICE of Nomini that was referred to by descendants who migrated to eastern Tennessee. I believe that John's grandson, and namesake-mentioned in his will- could very well be the father of Isaac RICE (b. 21 April 1734).
