Do you happen to have any specific names that you are looking for? I have some information about Antons from my research in the courthouse that I will pass on just in case they may be of some help.
Fleet Anton, b. about 1807, married Frances "Fannie" Spurling, b. about 1805, on June 7, 1830 in Westmoreland County. He was listed as age 43 in the 1850 census and age 72 in the 1880 census; she was age 45 in 1850 and age 77 in 1880. They had 2 children that I know about: William, age 10, in the 1850 census, and Sarah, age 9 in the 1850 census.
Samuel Tyler Anton married Mary Margarette "Maggie" Douglass on January 30, 1889 in Westmoreland County. He was age 70 (married at the age of 29) in the 1930 census and Maggie was age 65 (married at the age of 25). They had a son named John, age 39 and single, still living in the household in 1930 according to census.
Benjamin Anton married Betsy M. Howson on January 11, 1845 in Westmoreland County. He then later married Alice Howson, d/o John Westley Howson and Felicia ? (I bet they were sisters...). However I do not have a date for that marriage. They had one daughter, Mary E. Anton, born October 5, 1860. He apparently did not live long after that, because Alice is listed as age 30, widowed, at time of marriage to Thomas Lawson McKenney. She died on February 13, 1871, at age 43 of dropsy according to Westmoreland County death records.
Samuel Anton married (1st) Susannah Gregory on July 20, 1824 in Westmoreland County. They had a daughter, Matilda C. Anton, b. about 1829, who married Presley McKenney, s/o of Presley McKenney and Nancy McKenney on May 29, 1858. She was his second wife. She was age 29 and single at time of her marriage to Presley. Samuel Anton married (2nd) Elizabeth Gregory (another set of sisters???) on April 24, 1832.
Robert Anton married Elizabeth "Betsy" Howson on July 25, 1816 in Westmoreland County. (This begs the question was Robert and Benjamin brothers and did Betsy first marry Robert and then marry Benjamin???) They had a son, Robert, who married (1st) Elizabeth Douglas on December 11, 1844, and married (2nd) Frances McKenney, d/o William A. McKenney and Catherine P. McKenney, on June 16, 1866. This was Frances' second marriage, possible first married to a Mr. Morris. She was listed as age 45 at time of marriage to Robert Anton. (If anyone has more information on this line, I would love to have it!!!)
Zachariah Anton, listed as s/o Samuel and Elizabeth Anton, married Mary Jones Howson, another daughter of John Westley and Felicia Howson, on February 2, 1860 in Westmoreland County. He was listed as age 21, single, and she was listed as 19, single.
That is all the research I have for the Anton family at this time. I am researching the McKenney lines in Westmoreland County, so that is how I picked up on these. The Howson line also intermingles with the Donahue (Donnehaw) lines that I am researching. If you or anyone else has any information on how these Anton all relate, please let me know. I suspect that there are several brothers here that I haven't found proof yet to connect the dots.
Hope this helps,
