Lamoni, Iowa

DIED.

TAPSCOTT. - At his home in Burrell Township, Decatur county, Iowa, Saturday,
March 20, 1897, John R. TAPSCOTT, aged 76 years.

Mr. TAPSCOTT was born in Westmoreland county Virginia, and came to Iowa some
45 or 50 years ago, being one of the pioneers of Decatur county.

The burial took place Monday, March 22, at Elk grave yard, located about ten
miles northwest of Lamoni.

The funeral sermon was preached by SILL of the Baptist Church. Deceased was
a member of the United Brethren Church.
